    This happened....

    I was getting rid of some hologram marks when this happened


    I have never experimented a peel like this. I was using ultimate compound polish on yellow pad( yes under sunlight but I have seen vids rom meguiars asia that do this). I just want to share cuz well Im amazed to see this I know itsnot about products but the wrong use of them so Im the one to blame

    Im going to the paint shop to fix this tomorow cuz Im going to a meeting on saturday

      Can you tell us more about how you were applying the product? By hand or machine? Were you pressing very hard and/or going over the same spot repeatably? What year is the car? Also Ultimate Compound right?

        I've seen similar things happen. Was it on a bumper or other plastic area of the car? I would bet that it was, that's pretty much where its been every time I've seen it. The paint seems to "wrinkle" then you end up with a spot like your picture.

          Yes

          Well I was using the yellow pad as described above so I was using machine on level 4; In deed it took me by suprise I didnt expect this to happen.


          I started early in the morning but the sun catch me up as i did my progress. The most depressing thing is : I was almost done but I saw some minor scratches passing my lamp over the surface on the hood of my car. This happended near of the windshield just above the wiper sprayer on my car.

          My car is a 2005 Dodge SRT4 for the guy who asked.

          I sprayed some water and wiped away with quick detailer so the temp went a little down on the surface but looking a little closer I saw some micro bubbles so I think the surface over heated by my polish action.

          My Yellow pad is not new but It looks in pretty good shape....... I though it was one of the safest device to use on my paint!!! but I wont blame it
          so: Mea culpa!! but yes it surprised me alot.
