  • Which wax product is the best for my white car

    Hi Guys,

    This my first thread here
after searching i didn't find the right Meguiar's wax product for my White BMW because i saw most of them for black and dark colors like:

Meguiar's Ultimate Syn Pol Liquid Wax, Meguiar's Gold Class™ Liquid Wax, Meguiar's NXT Generation

    so any suggestions? thanks

i love detailing BMWs because it is usually soft. the white is a little harder but the clear is the same. usually for my couple of BMW clients I do a full polish with fine cut cleaner then a coat of 26 followed by 2 coats nxt 2.0 i let the last coat of NXT sit until the customer is on the way.. or as long as I can, then wipe it off and use QD at the last minute. looks good everytime i have done it. This is part of their 4 month wash. between this service for the normal wash i use ultimate wash and wax and quick wax spray.

I used Megs GC on my 2 white cars, 2 coats on my G35, and on the Impreza, I topped off with Collinite 476. I have to say it looked great & really "popped"
But lots of other members have suggested NXT for lighter colors

Fine cut cleaner is the name of a Meguiars professional product. QD is short hand for Quick Detailer.

i used fine cut by hand for a LONGGGG time before i got a cheap orbital. i had a lot of passion. LOL i tried some machine glaze in between the cleaner and 26 and it seemed to only offer a difference on the red bmw i detail. the rest i couldnt see a difference. i dont have a black one to do, so i dont know about them.

Just waxed my white Malibu LTZ this morning with M26 and it is really nice to me the carnauba really brings out the glow of white.

I like ultimate wax on flat white, nxt on metallics. Something about NXT wax just makes the metallic flakes pop out. Ultimate wax seems to kind of mute the flakes a little bit.

I was using Liquid Gold Class Carnuba Plus on my solid white car for the past two months. It looked great and the water beading was fantastic. Today I tried the NXT 2.0 paste for the first time. Lo and behold, I cannot believe what a difference the NXT 2.0 made! The oily slickiness of the NXT 2.0 gave the car an obviously deeper gloss! Furthermore the oiliness and smoothness of the surface was more than what the GC gave me previously. Too bad I could only do one layer today. Would love to try GC carwash and then one layer of GC and two layers of NXT 2.0 this weekend! That's a four hour endevour!
