  • How to Clean Wheels...

I washed my car yesterday and I noticed that there is a yellow film on my wheels. These are Mercedes wheels with polish silver. This is the 2nd winter I use these wheels.

What do you suggest me to do to get rid of them? Is NXT tech wax able to get rid of these yellow stains?

Nxt wax will be good to protect your wheels after they are clean. But they will need cleaned first.

I am not a wheel expert, so I will leave an exact recomendation to someone else. But a product like Hot Rims will be safe for almost all wheels, so you may look at that if no one else chimes in.

Clean the wheels, and then protect with wax.

Do you know what the wheels are made out of or coated with? (That's the key to choosing the right product, knowing what it is you're working on).

If they are yellow after washing, it sounds like they are stained?

You might try our NXT Generation All Metal Polysh as it is safe for all types of coatings like clear coated wheels, as well as chrome and polished aluminum.

        Yes, they are stained.

They are OE Mercedes wheels, polish silver and I believe they are clear-coated.

I am in Toronto and the local stores carry the more popular Meguaires products. I tried www.meguiarscanada.com, they're expensive and even less selection than the local stores.

If I cannot get NXT Generation All Metal Polysh, what else do you recommend?
