D300 and 5"MF pad

Hi,

I have the DA MF correction kit, and i am planning on using the cutting disc and d300 only for correction, and was going to then use the Ultimate polish with black pad and hand apply Ultimate Wax or this other product I have from a different manufacturer that rhymes crackfire....

That should be an interesting experiment; I'd do a test spot before working on the whole car with the polish. Why aren't you using the 301 after the 300?

I used the 301 about 2 weeks ago and wasn't really impressed with the depth of the black paint like I see with Ultimate Wax, or Blackfire WD.

Not the stupid question, can using the DA with MF cutting disc and d300 too many times tear up the clear? I was planning on using the cutting disc ever two to three month. Car is a 2010 Black Acura.

Not unusual to use Ultimate Polish instead of D301. Try it, you may like it.

I don't do production work so I usually put Ultimate Wax over D301. I believe the original intent of the DAMF Correction System was a quick two step process, but many alternates have sprung up. Besides I need the longevity of Ultimate Wax.

No problem there - the DAMF System was never designed to be a high end concours detailing system but rather geared toward volume reconditioning. Even so, it is quite common for guys to use the very powerful cutting action of the cutting disc and D300 and then follow up with a combo similar to what you're considering.

If you need to use something as aggressive as the microfiber cutting disc and D300 every couple of months then we really need to talk about your maintenance process. There is no reason whatsoever that you should need that kind of aggressive correction so often. Once a year, maybe. Maybe. Now, using M205 a few times a year can do wonders for keeping the paint at a very high level, and it's far less invasive.

THe m205 looks pretty promising, can I still use the MF 5" cutting disc or pick up the 6.5 soft buff polishing pad.

For routine maintenance we'd skip the microfiber cutting disc as it's quite aggressive. If your washing and drying process is really good you shouldn't be inflicting any real heavy swirls in the first place, so M205 even on a foam finishing pad should do the trick. That's the most aggressive thing I've had to do to my daily driver in 5 years! How to maintain your car's finish in-between polishing sessions

Hey Michael, I am about to use the M205 for the first time with a compound, my car was recently clayed so I am going to be skipping that step.
I will be using the Rinse free Express and then M205 with LCC white pad, do you think i should do the rinsefree again after the M205? I will be applying Blackfire sealant to the car.

Also the Rinsefree express... AWESOME!!!!

No need to wash the car again following use of M205 - go straight to your BFWD with a fresh finishing pad. You should end up with a gorgeous finish when you're done.
