Too many waxes

I have too many waxes:. NXT, Cleaner Waxes (consumer line and Mirror Glaze) UW, Yellow Wax, #21.....

My car is silver so no need for depth and darkness. I do full detailing once a year and for the rest of the time, I just wash and wax. Occasionally, I will use CW then UW. I use UW because it is supposed to be the most long lasting wax in Meguiars line.

I am OK with the cleaner waxes because I can always use it as first coat. Any suggestions what I should do with the Yellow Wax, #21 and NXT?

For example, I plan to do a full detailing this morning, I will do Clay - UW - Wax1 - Wax2. What should I use for Wax1 and Wax2?

I have five cars in my family, which is a good thing, since I get to use all the waxes I've bought (that I really didn't need...)

Maybe do UW topped with #26. Or the other way around. I forget what people do with that combo.

Looks to me like you have products in three categories:
1) Sealants, such as NXT, UW and M21
2) Cleaner waxes
3) A finishing or beauty wax -M26
My plan would be first to clay, assuring you have a smooth, contaminant-free finish, then two coats of your sealant of choice, with an optional finishing with M26 if you want to amp up the shine.
You can also use one of the cleaner waxes a few months from now as a periodic finish cleaner, followed by a sealant for longer protection.

I have about 17 vehicles I do now and I have to see what is a better wax for the job. Something that is easy to apply and take off. Might go towards Meguiars carnauba wax.

M26 was the first wax I ever used.
Gold Class was the second I ever used.

I really like the look of the above as well as D301. I have yet ot be unhappy with a Meguiars wax or sealant.

I think a lot of us are guilty in a way of having too many products/waxes. Almost as if having a wax for a certain mood or feel.. You can use m26 on top of ultimate wax, or you can just stick with ultimate wax for that crisp look. M26 will add depth, but since your car is silver, it may not be as beneficial. But you can try it, it may not add depth but it may change the look just a bit that may be your liking. It may add a certain shimmer to your paint that sealant may not be able to achieve on its own.

Yellow Wax does not last too long.
Will the 2nd coat of Yellow Wax affect the longevity of the UW underneath?

I've learned here that purpose of the detailer decides the product.
When I joined here, I thought it meant the purpose written on the bottle . duh.....
Hence I had a collection products sitting on the shelf.

Now based on my paint, skill level, equipment, attention-to-detail:
I use UW as a base coat for durability on delicate 25 year old paint.
I use Gold glass for a second coat for coverage and a little glow.
Between details I use Gold class spray wax for the same reason.

So, assuming that after the UW, all you are going to get is "coverage" (Megs teaches that the 2nd coat will only bond to gaps in the first coat, not to the cured 1st coat.)..... Why a different wax? Fillers? glow?
