  • Should i buy SwirlX?

    Hi mates,

In my Meg's collection, UC, UP and ColorX are those that can help me to remove swirls and scratches by G220-V2 (more or less) on my new Black Nissan. UC is too aggressive, ColorX is moderate and UP is too fine.

I'm going to order some Meg's stuffs. since shipping costs to Germany is considerable, I've been thinking about adding SwirlX to my collection by this order for those cases that i need a cleaner; neither AIOs like ColorX nor aggressive like UC.

    Is it worth?
(in some topics folks have saied taht cleaning ability of SwirlX is similar to UP)!

    Thanks

Swirl X is a nice product that I have used a few times with my G110v2 and applied with a yellow polishing pad. Top it off with liquid Ultimate Wax.

I buy SwirlX and UC. Don't bother with ScratchX - if I have something tht SwirlX cannot remove, I step up to UC.

ColorX is a good AIO - never used it though.

UP is great too. Its less aggressive than SwirlX - great for following up after using UC.

If you already have UC and UP, I think SwirlX is unnecessary. You could always vary the amount of cut of UC/UP by using a different pad or a different speed on the DA if you use one.

If you fine UP is too mild for the defects, but ColorX seems to deal with them, then SwirlX is an option for the cleaner only situations.

swirlx is good, although it may already have been overtaken by Ultimate Polish as the step following ultimate compound. As a cleaner or minor defect removal, swirlx is still a good addition. ColorX offers some protection while restoring paint's color and shine in one step.

I'd still get swirlX, just to make sure that i have many options covered, and for flexibility on refining the steps left by the U.C.

              good trick!
Since i'm a newbie to DA and going to order my G220-V2 this week, just wonder may not be able to handle the job like you guys
Just have to work with DA for a while to sense the oscillation speed, pressure and arm speed in practice by myself. Obviously such techniques -that you've mentioned- would make to most out of detailing stuffs as well as DA, while reducing expenses

That's what I'm talking about. I want to add a moderate a cleaner only stuff.

in bottom line, I think it's better to order SwirlX as well.
              Cheers . . .
