  • Factory Paint Run??

I noticed this when wiping up some tar off my car today. I bought it new 10 months ago, so I know this came from the factory. It's very hard to see (noticed if for the first time today after countless washes and two waxes). I don't care about the appearance but am wondering if there could be future problems? It looks just fine now (no rust, etc) and I've had it through a Colorado winter. If it won't cause future issues I'll leave it alone, but don't want to run into problems later. Thanks!

No problems at all. It rarely happens from factory but it wont cause a problem. What kind of car is it?
I've noticed it on 1 car that I knew was factory.
edit Is it at the edge of the panel? If so it might be more prone to chipping off.

It is a Subaru Impreza. It is right on the bottom of the passenger door.

If it's at the bottom edge you should be OK. Have some matching touch-up paint ready in case it does chip off. One of my trucks has a similar run. No problem with it in the five years I owned the truck.
