Re: Bubble in paint
As above - take it back to the dealer, have them fix it. As you bought it new, you should have a warranty for the paint. Heck, I'd even try and get it replaced, if possible, though that might be asking too much (not sure how these things work in the US).Francis

Re: Bubble in paint
Even if you and the dealer decide NOT to do anything to the paint at this time, I'd make sure it is documented that you were in and the manager of the dealership is aware that it may be a problem in the future.John @ HillCityAutoDetail.com

Re: Bubble in paint
It should be covered. If you don't get anywhere with the dealer call corporate. I know Subaru's have this issue from time to time as well. My Mom's 05 Forester had some cc failure early on, I found a spot on my Dad's 09 Forester (it wasn't cc failure but an spot where for some reason there was extra cc, no idea why but I fixed it with 3000 grit sandpaper) and my friend's 08 Impreza had three very small spots as well in less than 3 months after purchase. That aside, I will say Subaru is VERY good at resolving these issues. They fixed my Mom's immediately, no questions asked AND gave her a loaner with gas on the houseit can happen to even the best of them.

Re: Bubble in paint
WOW so embarassing!!! i think i found out what it was..i went to go take a picture and it was GONE!!! after thinking about it i think it was some kind of sap, i remembering washing it then driving down the road and some sticky stuff hitting the windshield didnt pay it no mind just washed the windows and was good to go. A couple days later when i washed it again this is when i say the "bubble" when i was drying it, but we had some heavy rain and im assuming the rain washed whatever it was away. Its funny cuz it was hard just like the paint and looked black but i dont know im just glad it wasnt a issue with the paint sorry guys
