hey everyone, my name's jason but everyone calls me H hence h_bomm. i've been washing my own truck and a couple of relatives for a few years and have usually been pretty satified with the results, although i've never used anything like ult compound or even a pure polish like ult polish, just gold calss liquid wax and deep crystal car wash. i have been kicking around the idea of detailing on the side for a few extra bucks (who couldn't use some!) and went ahead and ordered a bunch of supplies from auto geek which should be here in a couple days. things like ult polish, mf towels, and the like. i read up on "hard and soft" paint so i will be sure to use a test spot
. i will hopefully be getting megs DA polisher in about a month so to replace my "flying saucer" style random orbital and i can't wait! well, enough about me and on to my issues. first, do you/can you/should you clay a windshield? and second, i use a dedicated scrub brush to wash my truck, it NEVER touches the wheels or motor. i see that a lot of people use a wash mit of some sort instead of a brush like i do, should i be making a switch? thanks for your help and any tidbits or tricks of the trade to help a not quite rookie, but certainly no expert, out is more than welcome! thanks again
