  • Basic kit - MG & Detailer, what to choose

So, I have been using the consumer line products, UC, NXT 2 wax, Deep Paint Cleaner, Quick Detailer, SwirlX etc.
Now I'm thinking of trying out the MG / detailer line, but there so much to choose from, is this a good starter kit?
    Using a Makita rotary machine

Medium and Fine cut cleaner (#1 & #2)
    Ultra Cut #105
    Machine Glaze #3
    Swirl Remover #9
HT Yellow Wax #26 or Synthetic Sealant #26??
    Mild Clay
Yellow and "Red" pads, wool for really rough work? (already have the black polishing pad)
    Final Inspection #34

So to the detailer line, seems a bit easier to choose:
    Super Degreaser
    All Purpose Cleaner
    Wheel Brightener
    Hyper Wash or Shampoo Plus??
    Glass Cleaner Concentrate

Various bottles and sprayers, drying towel and microfiber towels.

    All feedback appreciated!

Do you have a D/A polisher? If not, I would get one instead of a Rotary Polisher. I use my D/A much more than my Rotary.

Meguiar's Microfiber Polshing system should also be on your list - I've polished 4 freshly painted cars using the MF system and I was able to do most of the work without using a Rotary.

Thanks both of you, a D/A will be considered.

The consumer products are just as good as the detailer/MG line products, but if you're looking into going that direction to buy in bulk and save a little money like I did, you can go with M135 as a direct replacement for UQD, and Xpress synthetic spray wax to replace UQW. I also invested in APC and Glass Cleaner Concentrate.
