  • Pressure Washer

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking to purchase a pressure washer (Nilfisk). I have not owned a pressure washer, but I have used it frequently when I was living in an apartment.

How much pressure is safe for the paint? Will it strip the wax that I have applied previously?

    Thanks,

    Hendy

    Re: Pressure Washer

I don't think pressure is the big issue here, it's what setting you have the wand on. Make sure your wand is set more towards the fan setting than it is the stream. Anywhere from 1500-2500PSI would be ideal for a car in my opinion. Whatever you do, just make sure you aren't getting super close to things, and by that I mean like within inches. But other than that you'll be fine. No, it won't strip your wax as far as I know.
