When Claying the car do you have to wipe the quick detail spray off as you are doing it? Or would it be easier to just wash the car again after you are done Claying? Just thinking of ways to save time

I would wipe it off as you go along. The product is meant to be wiped off right away any way as far as I know. Nothing bad would probably happen if you did let it sit, but wouldn't it just be easier to wipe it real quick than getting all the washing supplies out, and then not only washing the whole car, but also drying it, which is what you'd be doing by wiping right after claying a spot.Always searching for the best....Keep it country!

Re: Claying question
You don't have to completely wipe dry the quik detailer while claying - I usually wipe up the majority of it because it creates less of a messAndy W.

Re: Claying question
In my experience, if i do have issues with the removal of most QD while claying, i just respray the surface with QD to remove any residue left behind or just go to the cleaning process even with the leftover residue on the paint.

Re: Claying question
For me it helps to remove it immediately so I can better evaluate the area I've just completed. When I get done, I don't need to rewash and dry the car which is harder to do than just wiping up the residue, IMO. When I'm finished, the paint is ready for the next step, either polishing if needed, or sealing.Jim

Re: Claying question
I save some time Frank by claying after I've washed, while the car is still wet. As I clay a section, I rinse with water. In the end I'll continue with my usual drying methods.John @ HillCityAutoDetail.com
