  • touch-up

I don't know if this is the right section for something like this, but I need to do some touch-up on some minor scratches and some chips. I have the touch-up kit with the paint, a little brush, the transparent and.. some questions:

    - I waxed the car a week ago, should I remove the wax in the parts where I have to do the touch-up? If yes with what?
    - I have Scratch X 2.0 .. I don't intend to use to resolve my scratch problems since there's paint missing.. but since it's abrasive can I use for something like prep the surface BEFORE the touch-up.. or refine the work AFTER the touch-up.. or I shouldn't use at all for this?
    - Should I wait a certain amount of time after the touch-up to re-wax my car?
    - In a part where I want to do the touch-up there is some rust.. it's extremely small.. 3-4 points of half millimeter or even less or rust.. how to treat this part?

I will be glad to have any other tip in how to do the touch-up, since I never did before.. better do it right than guess arround.. Thanks

PS. should I make some photos?

    Re: touch-up

Fully wash the affected area, remove wax (any of these will work: Body Solvent, Gold Class Bug and Tar Remover, detailing clay).
Don't wax the area after touch up for at least 30 days.
