  • Using M135 or UQD with a Carnauba Wax

Has anyone here ever tried using a synthetic QD (M135 or UQD) over #26 or GCC+? Does it take away from the carnauba depth and shine. I have a black Challenger for my summer driver, and have used UW and NXT on it before. I'm thinking of trying either GCC+ or #26 on it, the only problem is I just went out and bought a gallon each of D156 and M135 and don't want to "obsolete" them if I do like the shine, especially since if I need to buy the GCQD to go with it. I do have 2 other vehicles I could use it on, just won't consume it nearly as quickly as I would if I was using it on the toy car. I don't want to make "finance" unhappy with the previous purchase.

Looks good on my Dad's car, though his is a darker red.

    Certainly compatible, no issues there.

      Thanks for the feedback!

BTW mods, the thread title should read UQD not UGW, no idea what happened there and I don't see anywhere to change it...

While the two synthetic detailers you mentioned are definitely compatible with all of our waxes and sealants, whether or not they make any noticeable change in the appearance is both up to you, and very personal. Some may see a difference and like it, some may see a difference and not like, others may see no real difference at all. As LSP type products things get very murky and subjective, so it's hard to give a definitive answer one way or the other.

We can tell you this, though: Gold Class Premium Quik Detailer will offer the most darkening of dark paints compared to any of our mist and wipe detail sprays. So if you've got a black car and plan on using a carnauba wax like Gold Class, M26 or the much loved (but discontinued) M16, then we're pretty confident you'll love what it does for you car.
