  • Summer storage care for snowblower

    Hi.

I've got a Honda snowblower that I want to keep in tip top shape while in storage over the summer. Winter's over!

I'll wash it real good to get all of the salt and dirt off. I have no intentions of hand waxing it, but is there something I can spray on the surfaces? I've got Hyperdressing but I'm thinking that would tend to attract a lot of dust as it does on the car.

Any suggestions as a spray on protectant? Just want to keep surfaces looking nice and prevent any rust from starting.

    Thanks.

UQD would probably be the better choice.

I did something similar with my lawn mower.
washed and cleaned with APC, blew most of the water off with the leaf blower. Then sprayed with UQD and the plastic parts with hyper-dressing. Left it in the garage and it still looks brand new.
apc is awesome stuff on the underneath, removes the grass stains well.

Any thoughts on Last Touch? I have a bunch of that I never seem to use much. How would that compare to UQD (which I don't have) for this purpose?

The UQD would leave a little bit of a water repellent polymer behind. Other than that, pretty much the same. If it is going to be indoors, I doubt you'd notice much difference.

Make sure you put fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank, and run the engine for a few minutes.
