Hi again everyone,
I recently moved from Phoenix, Arizona, to Cary, North Carolina. While I love it here, it has complicated my detailing regimen for keeping my car shiny!
For anyone that lives in a rainy area, how do you cope with the rain and keeping your car look good and shiny? When do you Quik Detail, and when do you wash between light rain or dense fog? What products do you use? Any techniques for quick cleaning if it rains right after you washed?
In Phoenix, I could use ONR almost every other week, and just dust regularly. But here I've been seeing rain nearly every other day, and I try looking at rain forecasts but they aren't right. It will rain on sunny days after I wash, and when I avoid washing because it's supposed to rain, it won't rain. Luckily, I keep a pretty good layer of wax on that my car cleans easily. I'm guessing since it's not as hot here, the wax also doesn't melt off as easily. Also, since it's not dusty like Phoenix, when I get a small bit of water on my car it sometimes rolls off and you can't even tell. In Phoenix you get mud and water spots instantly with any amount of water.
I'm also really enjoying the humidity. It will be interesting to see what it's like without my buffing pad drying out as quickly.
Thanks!
