My wheels are Powder Coated Matte Black. I am looking for a tire cleaner that is safe to use with my wheels. Obviously, will not be using the tire cleaner directly on the wheels, but I would imagine some overspray will occur and I dont want any issues. Any ideas?

Re: Tire Cleaner - Powder Coat safe?
I would just use APC.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Tire Cleaner - Powder Coat safe?
I just called CS @ Meguiars and was told not to use the APC...only thing safe was the Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Cleaner and to use that on the tires.
You think the 10:1 dilution will be safe enough for any overspray on my wheels?

It sounds like there may have been some confusion between wheels & tires..
10:1 will be safe. Just to be extra sure, don't let it sit there for long - i.e. rinse it off as soon as you're done scrubbing.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. I will give the APC a shot. Thanks.

Re: Tire Cleaner - Powder Coat safe?
Not sure why Customer Care would have told you that other than lumping powder coating in with bare aluminum when considering wheel cleaners. But APC at 10:1 is going to be perfectly safe on a powder coated wheel. On bare, high polished aluminum, not so much. In the case of a bare aluminum wheel, however, if you thoroughly soap up the wheel first and then spray APC onto the tire, any over spray you may get on the wheel will be immediately neutralized by the soap and you'll be OK. But on powder coated wheels, nothing to worry about here. Oh, same goes for APC+ if you decide to use that instead.Michael Stoops

Powder coating is pretty tough finish, pretty sure APC/APC+ wouldn't harm it at all"STRIFE" aka Phil
