I was just wondering how to take off water spots from the car paint. Wasn't able to dry the car off after rain storm this morning and was due foot a wash. Tried quick detailer but you could still see the outline of the water spots.

Re: Water spots
You'll need something a bit more aggressive, and maybe quite a bit more. Water spots can range from incredibly easy to remove to darn near impossible - it all depends on what sort of minerals were left behind when the water evaporated, how long they've sat on the surface, how much radiant heat they're exposed to from the sun, and how the paint reacts to the whole mix.
Try rewashing the car with a cup of distilled white vinegar in a couple gallons of water first - and make sure to dry the car!! If that doesn't do the trick you'll need something with some mechanical action to remove them. Start with a cleaner wax first, working it in as you normally would with a cleaner wax (meaning a bit of elbow grease) and then step up to a paint cleaner if you have to. Ultimate Polish, SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0 are good starting points.Michael Stoops

Well you can start by washing. Maybe they will just "wash off" so to speak. Otherwise, I think you're going to want to start with a mild cleaner, maybe SwirlX or something more agressive, Ultimate Compound.Always searching for the best....Keep it country!
