  • Shampoo Plus - Skin contact ok?

    Hi Guys,

I have recently purchased a bottle of Shampoo plus and read on the MSDS that skin should be rinsed after contact, I normally dont wear gloves when I was my car, is this a habit i should get into for using this product?

    Thanks

No, it is quite mild. All it will do is dry your skin out like any other soap if you kept your hand in it a while.

Just an overly cautious MSDS it seems.

In undiluted form it is slightly alkaline in pH, but then again so are virtually all of our shampoos. Unless you have a high level of sensitivity to soaps you won't have any issues using this product. That said, we know a lot of detailers who wear rubber gloves all the time simply because they are always in contact with a lot of different chemicals throughout the day. If you're just taking care of your own vehicles and exposure to any chemical - soap, cleaner, polish, wax, etc - is quite limited, then you shouldn't experience any difficulties at all. Bottom line: if you've used any of our other shampoos in the past without issue, then you should continue that way with Shampoo Plus.
