Does anyone apply more than one coat of uqw at a time? Is it worth it, any added gloss or protection? I normally wax every 3 months religiously but will have to stretch out to 4 months this time. I have time to wash and spray wax but didnt know if several coats made any difference. Also is there a cure time between each?

Re: Multi coats of ultimate quick wax layering
UQW is great to use after every wash if you're washing weekly, but once you've done a couple of coats of UQW you're not going to gain anything by applying more and more. Now, that's defining "a couple of coats" as a couple at a time, not a coat a week, week after week. Sure, the polymers are pretty durable for a spray wax, but they're not going to stick around for months and months. As for cure time...... don't sweat it. You can apply a couple of coats right away without causing any problems.Michael Stoops

Re: Multi coats of ultimate quick wax layering
I apply another coat of UQW in the rare case where i experience smearing (yup, it happens to me sometimes due to over-enthusiasm of this product) to even up the look of the paint usually on black paint. But yes, i apply maybe 2 coats of UQW to ensure a more even coverage.
Another alternative to UQW is the Ult. quik detailer. I find it extends the life of UQW and perfectly complements the UQW. I would save UQW for times when it's absolutely necessary. But obviously, i'm guilty of using UQW more frequently than needed. Works too well for it not to be used frequently

Re: Multi coats of ultimate quick wax layering
I have the habit on my own daily driver to two-coat the front bumper area. I put on way too much product, work it in and wipe it off, then do the rest of the car and then come back and second coat the front area again. I've convinced myself I'm getting it into every crack and crevice around the grill, headlights, fog lights and chrome making it easier to remove bug bodies.

Re: Multi coats of ultimate quick wax layering
If you guys are using alot of UQW you should consider purchasing D156 in the gallon size
Meguiars Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax is formulated utilizing unique Hydrophobic Polymer Technology to produce a durable deep rich gloss with easy application and instant wipe off.
They are pretty much the same product and work the same
