  • Composite Overfenders Care

I have a Toyota Tacoma that has composite (Rubber-like) overfenders, much like the bumper covers, that are color keyed to match the rest of the body. Do I care for these as I do the rest of the steel body panels? They appear to have the same paint as the rest of the body.

Yes. Just be careful when us a DA on these areas especially the edges. Had an 08 4runner with the same body molding.

        paint is paint
just be careful because "painted pieces" bumpers, spoilers, fender pieces can sometimes have some pretty bad paint

Yes, treat them the same way you treat any other painted panel on the truck. Clay, compound, polish, wax, etc as needed while doing the same on the rest of the painted surfaces.

Im 99% positive they're the same material as your front bumper. Just look at them as extra bumpers.
