I dont think I will need to use ultimate compound on my next detail. Just clay, ultimate polish and wax. My question is, is there any benefit to following the ultimate polish with deep crystal polish? I know that u.p. has a little abrasive and deep crystal has no abrasive. Just wondering if there would be a benifit to the pure polish.

My opinion is time wasted. Anything you might gain will not be noticeable by most of the people. Ultimate polish when done properly and with correct pad in my opinion does not need any more refinement.Looks great on Black car all by itself followed up by wax. -

We agree with Mark here. Since UP has a pretty high polishing oil load we feel that using a second, pure polish over it is probably overkill.Michael Stoops
