  • How can I repair this damage?

Hey guys, I've had my car for a few months now and I installed a clear bra the day after I bought it new. Well, I gave it a good wash today and to my surprise, I have tiny chips on the inner fender behind each of the four wheels. This was the ONE spot I didn't put the clear bra. The damage seems to be very localized at the moment, but from what I've been reading the only way to completely correct this is to repaint the affected panels, which I'm hesitant to do on a car with 3k miles.

My question to all of you detailers out there is, do you think there is any way that I can completely correct this without repainting the panels? I've attached a pic of the damage behind one of the front wheels, but it is duplicated on all four corners.

    Your help is MUCH appreciated.

Unfortunately thee isnt much that can be done.

Your best bet may be to clean it well, and put the bra in those areas there before it gets worse.

We've seen some work done with the http://www.drcolorchip.com/ process and we have to say it's pretty darn impressive when done right. Bottom line, you've got actual chips in the paint and nothing short of some new paint will correct it. Whether you choose to repaint the areas at a body shop (pricy and probably inconvenient) or touch up (a real pain until the folks at drcolorchip refined their process) is up to you. At first glance this process may seem a bit strange, or like it couldn't really work that well, but it's pretty darn cool.

If you say it works well Mike, I may have to look into it then. Got a few spots I could improve, and the touch-up paint wouldnt come out good.
