  • Ultimate wash/wax anywhere review.

I have never been too good at writing reviews or remembering to take pictures but here is my short experience write up.

These kinds of products always make me a little nervous, but after trying ONR over the summer, I was hooked on no rinse stuff.

This Meguiars product is awesome if used as directed. I used about 5 megs towels, which is a bit much for my car as it wasn't so bad off. But I kept forgetting which towel was the rinse towel and which towel was the drying one. Product wiped off very easy, and just as it says on the bottle if it dries, just spray it again.

I did this outside in my driveway, in direct sunlight, temperature is about 56 degrees. I do not have a garage so this is where my car gets rinsed whether I like it or not. All in all I would say this is a great product.

That is how much I used on one car, so I do believe that on light/medium sized cars you could get 3-4 uses before you run out.

Could you explain how you worked with the towels?

Essentially I treated it as if it were a quik wax product.

Folded two towels into 4 sections. (1 for the product, 1 for the final wipe)

Misted the products on, wiped vertically(a little ocd habit of mine), got my other towel and final dried. That's about it really. Like I said, I could have probably only used 3 towels but used 5, because I forgot which was which and just started over using new towels. With any detailer or quik wax make sure you do a thorough final check, I went for a cruise a second ago and noticed I missed a spot on my windshield, where the wind blew some mist over.

      It was that easy.

Certainly is interesting... Though I still may have to volunteer my girlfriends car, or her mothers, before I try my own.

Thanks for your feedback. I have a couple of questions:

          1. How many wipes (strokes) do you do per side of the towel before flipping it over to a clean side?
          2. Did it induce any swirls or marring?
          3. How heavy did you spray your panels? Were they saturated with the product or only misted?
          4. Where did you get it?

I didn't much saturate it per say, maybe medium duty mist..that's the best way to explain it. Like a painter painting a panel, working horizontal overlapping by 50%. I wiped vertically top to bottom, started from the top again, overlapping by 50%. Onc the section was done, I final wiped the whole panel in the same manner. It did not induce any marring as far as I know, I correct my car once a year, and once a year only, so I take great care NOT to marr my paint during the rest of the year. As far as where I got it, I cheated. At my company we get things early to start collecting for new planograms so when new megs comes in, I buy it first before it ever hits teh shelves. I can tell you it will be out in Jan, at my store anyway.

Don't worry Murr, you're car will be fine. I was the same way. If my car has gone 4 days or less (ie light dirt that's too much for a QD) I'll use a waterless wash. If it's gone longer or has a moderate amount of filth I go rinseless. That being said, I used Ultima Waterless Wash Plus on my car after over a week of driving (rain included) and it worked wonderfully. No swirls at all. I just tend to err on the safe side.

I can't wait to try Wash & Wax Anywhere. I'm sure it will be a fantastic product.

                    Re: Ultimate wash/wax anywhere review.

Ive waterless wash & waxed over 150 cars this past month with a similar product to Meguiars. Its not that scary, and if done properly you will not scratch any cars. My 10 WW&W commandments:

                    1) the W&W wont dissolve SAND or hard debris.. common sense. So if you've been mudding, you need to rinse first.

                    2) Never rub any dry areas.. make sure you mist on thoroughly. If working in the sun do smaller sections.

                    3) have both microfibers folded in half twice, this way there's 8 clean areas to use so you can conserve towels

                    4) dampen your cleaning microfiber with a few sprays before you start

                    5) start from the top of the car going down

                    6) with your cleaning microfiber- switch to a clean side after every section

                    7) with your buffing microfiber- switch to a clean section for final wipe to reduce streaking.. especially windows. Use that clean section to start the next section then finish once again with another clean section- repeat until all 8 sides are used then switch to new MF.

                    8) don't excessively rub any areas.. common sense.. if there's bird poo let the product soak in

                    9) If you drop your MF, grab a new clean one

                    10) Pay attention if you're picking up small sticks or grass from under sides of the car.. If you do u can try to shake off real well or just use a new one.

Thanks for the review, Judge! From the look of things you used quite a bit more of this product than you might a regular quick detailer, and that's exactly as it should be.

jrsb1418, those are excellent "commandments" to follow when using Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere and everyone should follow them. This is really a terrific product - highly effective, very safe, and even fun to use.
