  • Timing in applying these products

i started a topic about the UQD and UQW and this forum helped me a lot with the participation of the members.

Now, i have new questions about these products.

i have the deep crystal paint cleaner, deep crystal polish and NXT wax 2.0. i usually use these if i have a lot of time cleaning my car. just want to ask these questions.
    - should i always use these 3 products every time i washed and dried my car?
    - can it be just DCP and NXT Wax every washing of my car? or just DCP will do?
    - it says on the directions that after applying the DCP i should let it dry. how long should i wait on the given time of drying the DCP before i wipe it off?
    - it also says that the NXT WAX 2.0 that let it dry after applying it. how long should i wait for it before wiping it off?

    * note *
i apply these products by hand only. using applicator pad and microfiber towel (both meguiar's).
    - i have applied these products before and it works great i just want to know if you guys have better idea using these said products and timing of applying.

    THANK YOU!

Re: Timing in applying these products

I will try to answer your questions in order:

    - should i always use these 3 products every time i washed and dried my car? No, not at all - that would be overkill. You would only use them as required.

    - can it be just DCP and NXT Wax every washing of my car? or just DCP will do? Yes, it can be. You should always finish with a wax/sealant, so it would either be DCP + NXT, or just NXT.

    - it says on the directions that after applying the DCP i should let it dry. how long should i wait on the given time of drying the DCP before i wipe it off? Are you sure? Polishes don't need to dry before wiping off - only waxes/sealants do. In fact it is more problematic if you let a polish dry.

    - it also says that the NXT WAX 2.0 that let it dry after applying it. how long should i wait for it before wiping it off? It depends on a lot of factors such as temperature etc, but if it passes the swipe test, you're good to wipe off. Try doing a search for "Swipe Test".

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I guess that's personal preference, but that's what UQW is for IMO!

DCP does infact say to let it dry. However, you will not need to do this. Go ahead and take it off as you go. Do not let it dry. If you are polishing and waxing 2-3 times a week that is HUGE overkill. If you were to ask me (which you havent but i am going to put my 2 cents in anyway ) I wax and polish once a month. I quick detail daily and wash when necessary. After a week goes by, I wash if necessary and apply UQW or Synthetic X-press Spray Wax. This adds a boost in protection, shine and that just waxed feel. This will save you alot of work.

Re: Timing in applying these products

If you are going to wash 2-3 times a week, I would not worry about UQD daily.

The detailer sprays are for safely removing light dust. But of course it is hard to say what light is. So if just going to wash the next day anyway, why chance it.

And UQW after each wash would be great.
