Nice job there! Your sentiments on UP are like mine on UW. These products can turn amazing into unbelievably stunning.

UP is a great product because you can use it under very light pressure as sort of a glaze since it has plenty of polishing oils. I used it on a black car recently that didn't have many swirls and when I was short on time. I applied it via DA and just lightly worked it in. It didn't take long to go over the whole car, and it made the paint look much glossier.

    I agree!

Did you see a difference after UP itself or after. UP/NXT?

    Re: Ultimate Polish question

well i had some time late today
so i bought some u/p and did the hood of my truck
i did 1/2 the hood with the u/p then 2 coats of 2.0 t/w first, so i could compare

i could see a difference not huge but a bit deeper of a shine , didnt think it could look much better, but im glad i did it
i didnt take any pics i didnt think it would show, and the light was low

ill have to do the rest of the truck tomorrow

    thanks for the help guys

Factory new black paint looks great but if you do 2-3 passes with UP it will POP and look much better. Very little pressure on your last pass.

I would try a test spot of the UP, if you are using it to add gloss and not remove swirls you may find that it darkens the paint nicely, certainly does on my car. If you are going after swirls though I would step it up to UC.

Since the car is so new, it might not make a difference but you'll never know until you try it with a test spot.

But like I said, I'd still rewax it with NXT at least.

i just bought it a few weeks ago...look at this thread i started about my truck>> http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...tip-of-the-day

like i said the paints flawless , i just wasnt sure if it was necessary or would make it any deeper of a shine

    thanks
