HI, I have a 1974 chrysler imperial and I'd like to make it look as good as possible WITHOUT repainting it. The paint is thin on the car on the hood and trunk but seems ok on the sides of the car. I have a nice 10 speed buffer , about the size of a large grinder actually lol, that I use on my boat for waxing. I'm no pro but I know how to correctly use it. I have used some ultimate compound I had on the car it seemed to bring alot of life back to this old 1974 non clear coat paint that turned my foam hand buffing pad green LOL. Need some feedback from the pro's whether I should use ultimate compound, color x, heavy or fine cut compound. What pad should I use? Foam or wool and if wool what color? I see alot of choices in o'reilys and napa with many different color wool pads and many different compounds. Take a look at these pictures and see what you think..
