  • Water Spots and Rinse-Aid

So I'm emptying the dishwasher and it dawns on me that my glasses don't get water spots even though I wash them with the same water as the car. I think part of the reason is because of the Rinse-Aid added to the dishwasher.

Any thought on putting a rinse-aid like this into a hose end sprayer set for the right dilution rate and using it on the final rinse?

Any ideas how it clear coat/wax would respond to it?

Just wondering, seems promising. If it isn't quite right, maybe Meguiar's could develop an automotive rinse aid?

    Re: Water Spots and Rinse-Aid

This is similar to the Mr. Clean car wash system, sprayer, thingy.

However the rinse-aid just left a film over the car when I used it.

Always could be something better developed I suppose, though generally the water spots after washing come from hard water, so a water softener could be considered. Though can be expensive.
