Thanks! I'll let you know what happens. I have the feeling that I'll have to pick up some UC. Should I stay away from trying isopropyl alcohol?

Could try a wet cloth, and just put a few drops right onto the cloth/area you are working on...

Not really a right or wrong way with the dishoap, just something to try out.

You could use MF, though terry may have more bite to it. Try both, up to you...

As for FYI, an old white gym sock turned inside out is terry, if you didnt have any old towels around.

And yes, UQW could certainly be used. Some people like coatings, some dont...

What would be the right way to try dish soap. Put a few drops in a small bucket and fill with warm water? Wipe with cloth and dry?

After the glass cleaner can I use uqw ? I will never use rain x again. I mainly use microfiber towels for just about everything.

A smooth foam pad or terry cloth would be good to apply it with. Work it in pretty good, then remove. You would need a glass cleaner after to remove any UC residue completly. But hopefully can tell if it is working as you go, and then just the glass cleaner at the end.

Not sure it would do much if the other attempts havent, but some dish soap and a terry cloth (not brillo pad or anything) is something to try.

Not sure if this is a good pic or not but the mark/blob is in the middle.

I wouldnt think claying or not would cause this much hassle.

I dont know about defective, but there could be some sort of glue residue or something.

Let me ask this. When the windshield was installed over the summer I washed my suv by hand. I applied rain x on the windhield, but i didnt claybar it (found out that i should have afterwards).....is this mark or whatever
this is in the glass permanent possibly? Might be a defective windshield?

Dont know enough about the ICE polish to say anything about that.

Hate to have you buy something else and it not work, but UC would be what I would try.

    Did we try dishsoap?

Unfortunately no. Just uqw, ICE polish or black magic liquid wax.
