M205 is very close and will yield the sort of high gloss and high clarity you're looking for, whether you're working with a DA or rotary

I like M205 and the M105/M205 it is my #1 go to 1-2 "git-er-done" punch.
I have Menz Po85 on the shelf and use it to "kick it up a notch" after M205

Please tell me you announcing at SEMA...M305 - Ultra Refining Polish (BIG GRIN)
I'd be the first in line!!!

          Hi Merlin,

Do you really see a difference when you apply PO85RD after M205?

I love M205 and I use it all the time to finish off my details. I'm always amazed at the clarity and gloss this polish gives.

I would say Ultimate Polish is similar in cut to PO85RD. It has a little less cut than 205 and is really easy to use.

Yes, I believe PO85 adds another level of shine and gloss.

Don't get me wrong I love the cutting of M105
The last couple of batches of M105 I've bought did not dry, need H2O spray or splatter.
I got VERY long work time with the product staying moist and finishing down real nice.

I like the M205 finish it really cleans up the M105
It's very easy to work with (much easier than M105) stays moist and long working time.
I'm not saying the M205 does not look good without having to add another step to finish.
M205 creates a VERY nice finish with gloss, clarity and depth and could be LSP finish ready.

IMHO - PO85 adds that extra shine to the finish
It's another real easy to use, long work time, easy to clean up high gloss deep shine polish
Maybe it's just 10-20% more gloss but more shine & gloss is more. So IMHO it looks better!

I wonder if you would get that same 10-20% more gloss if you were to just apply M205 a second time?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I'm not so sure about a second time but I've been hearing that using a rotary with the M205 will give you more gloss compared to using a D/A.

                      Menzerna PO85RD - diminishing abrasives,
Meguiar's M205/ Ultimate Polish - super micro abrasives.

Some detailers do it: first application with a polishing pad and second one with a finishing pad.

As Marc said on most paints it works really good:
