  • Durability of D300/301

I just finished using the DA MF system on our '05 Sienna van garaged daily driver. It's gonna snow here this week and the thought went thru my mind to put something on top as an extra LSP, but I've decided to leave well enough alone. Is there any data about the durability of 300/301 throughout the winter? Thanks.

The DA Microfiber system was designed to be used a high volume location
think auto auctions,as long as it looks OK that is good enough
    not pebble beach stuff

Yes the Finishing wax is good but not the longest lasting
If I had to deal with "winter" conditions I would do the below
throw on a coat of Ultimate Wax(paste or liquid) or M21 and the surface will last be that much better

Honestly, I would say that if it is garaged most of the time, you MIGHT get about 3 months in the winter. But, I would also add a coat of UW or M21. Personally, I like M21 but haven't tried UW yet.

What did you end up going with for your sealant?

I had some Prima HydroSeal which I used. I also cleaned the surface with Griot's Prewax Cleanser.

D301 Finishing Wax is a hybrid wax (mix of natural and synthetic ingredients). It offers durability similar to M26 High Tech Yellow Wax.

In extreme weather conditions D301 alone may not be enough for a long run so it was smart to add some protection.

Good choice, I've been using HydroSeal for some time now and love it. I see a lot of people using Griot's prewax cleaner, I really should try this stuff.

                  Thanks Greg.

That Griot's cleaner is a breeze to use Eddie, spray on wipe off & it seems to work well. Inexpensive too & you get a big bottle, 35oz.
