I wash my black chevy tahoe every weekend and usually use the quik wax spray about 2-3 times a month. About once every other month I use show car glaze #7 (polish). If I used the quik wax spray every weekend, would that be bad for the paint? It's just that it looks too good when I wax it and just washing the car looks good but the quik wax spray just adds that clean mirror effect. thanks

Re: is there such thing as applying wax too frequently?
I usually wash my car weekly. If I use GC wash, I would apply UQW. If I use UWW, then no UQW.
I wax my car every 3-4 weeks.
However, I do the full 5-step every year. The clay and UC will remove all wax; much like starting over again.

Re: is there such thing as applying wax too frequently?
Weekly wash=good
no spray wax every weekend would not be bad, it would be good
I would say that you are polishing too much
It should not need it that often
You should not need to polish that much if you are doing the other steps right
proper soap
grit guards
clean and proper mit,bone,sponge
clean and proper drying tools
quality microfiber
I would say that NO, it is not possible to over wax and cause issues assuming you are doing the steps correctly
Though it is a waste of product and time
hopefully that helps, if you have any more questions, fire away
What part of southern california are you from?

Re: is there such thing as applying wax too frequently?
think of UQW and Synthetic X-press spray wax like a 300 shot of nitrous oxide
they are great when added to a motor but by themselves dont do much
spraywaxs for paints=chemical induction for motor
