NXT wax,sealant and Ultimate compound on fresh paint HELP!!

HI

IM new and I messed up....

I dnt kow what the hell I was thinking and after having a bad day I came home and started to compounding and sealant in my recently painted car!!!

In fact I noticed a few imperfections and got back the car to the paint shop on monday. I got the car back yesterday and I havent noticed anything bad on the surface.

The question is what happen in this case?? I used Ultimate Compound (not too much to worry about ), Sealant , 3M glaze (ok no wax at all) Deep Crystal (ok) polish and (dam!!) NXT Tech wax 2.0 such a mess ahh?


And::::: What I can do now to prevent my paint job to waste?? I aready wahed te car with a heavy shampoo looking to well .... eliminate the products.

That was an interesting read...
I don't think you are supposed to do any of the things you did to fresh paint. Paint has to settle for 30 or 60 days before waxing and what not I think? Something around that time frame if what I heard was true.

Recently I repainted my car, (well I had to a bus hit me), I was told not to touch it for 2 months . The only thing I did was wash it.. but they did say UD and UQW wouldn't hurt it.
...but no regular waxes for at least 2 months.

Why you did all that to a newly painted car is beyond me but I am sure you had your reasons.

How recent is recent? If more than 30 days, you should be fine. Otherwise, you should remove the sealant and wax so the paint can outgas.
Maybe you can re-apply DC-Polish again. I read that people use dish washing liquid to remove wax.

I did it. I washed the sidskirts etc all the parts recently painted and used deep crystal polish (is the only product I m certain is safe) looking for cleaning . I drove andtaked some pictures and the car loks fine the only bad thing is that I spoted some heavy scratches on he hood and my GF told she came close to see the car when I went out fo a drink and dropped the sponge pad I was using and put it back facing down so I didt realized.....

To be honest I still dnt know the reason I simply saw the car and wanted to relax polishing it and then I found my self sealing, waxing etc!!

I was told before he clearcoat hazes when you do that but Im not certain ..... is it true??? I removed the wax and the sealant I hope nothing goes wrong. greeetingz!!! and thank You

Many people wax, and have nothing bad happen... it just ups the chances, so best not to.

This is the line that has us scratching our heads........ can you describe the mess you had after using the NXT Tech Wax 2.0? You mentioned using a sealant earlier in the process and that's basically what NXT Tech Wax 2.0 is - a fully synthetic protectant containing no real wax. Even on a freshly painted car you should see no issues when using this product. Note that does NOT mean we recommend using NXT 2.0 on fresh paint, just that if you did do so it shouldn't appear any different than applying it to paint of any age. Again, we recommend allowing a freshly sprayed aftermarket paint job some 60 to 90 days to out gas before applying a wax or sealant - just to be clear there.

So, our questions to you would be -

• what do you mean by "such a mess" after using NXT 2.0?
• how did you apply it (by hand, with a buffer, how heavy)?
• how long did you let it dry before wiping off?

Hello

1.- "Such a mess" Just joking about the tons of products I used on my fresh paint cuz the paint is ok ...sorry !!

2.-All was by hand. In the case of the Ultimate Polish was mild to heavy. 3.-

3.-How long? the sealant was left for about a hour on the paint I dont remember what king of sealant cuz one of my friends gave it to me on a bottle
its Meguiars violet and smells like apple.

What happen when You do this things??? I mean fresh paint + sealant + wax? what are the simptoms I must look for in the paint?


Thank You very much I felt relief to know NXT GEN WAX has no wax the problem whit Meguiars products is that they dont give the chemical list of
the products for obvius reasons ( I will yield dozens of chinese brands jajajaa) but a "" silicone and wax free" statement would help a lot

For new paint, both sealant and wax will prevent the outgas process. If the paint is fresh fresh, you should consider to remove the NXT.

Quick Detailer should be fine. I just had my vehicle painted in May. I was told i could wash it as I normally would, just do not wax it for 60 days.

You dont wax new paint but "its ok to use NXT"? Wouldn't a sealant be even worse? Or at least in the same boat....they would prevent the Out-Gassing and final cure of the paint. Seems sketchy to me
