  • How can I remove RainX Anti-Fog?

I made the mistake of treating my interior glass with RainX Anti-Fog a couple of months ago. Now, my glass seems permanently hazy - cleaning with regular glass cleaner (D-line concentrate @ 10:1) just smears it around. Any recommendations for getting this **** off of my glass? I'm headed outside now to try out some less-diluted GCC, and perhaps some white vinegar, but any tips would be welcome.

    I would try using APC.

Rain X makes an Extreme Clean use that.

I would try some APC at 4:1 followed by water and window cleaner.

Distilled white vinegar followed by GCC seemed to do the trick, but I won't know for sure until I can look at it in daylight tomorrow. I don't have APC, just APC+, but I'll give that a try tomorrow if the glass is still hazy. Thanks, guys.

APC or APC+ would work. Please let us know if APC/APC+ did the trick (if the problem is still there)

The vinegar followed by Glass Cleaner Concentrate worked.

Avoid that RainX junk like the plague! I've yet to have fogging problems on this car - I guess I just got bored and wanted to do something to it besides the normal wash and wax routine. Lesson learned... If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I use rainX and never had any issues with it...i find it works really good on those rainy days...mind you i apply it on the outside glass and not on the in side

I use regular rain-x on the outside of the car! Works great for that. I've never used their anti-fog product. I would avoid applying anything to the interior windows of the car however. Besides if you do happen to get some fog, just kick on the defroster :p

I use the original RainX on the outside, and love it. As I said in my original post, I treated my interior glass with RainX Anti-Fog, not the stuff meant for outside use.

RainX Original Glass Treatment = Good
                    RainX Anti-Fog = Bad

I just used a soft scrub cleanser that will not scratch with the Vileda glass scrubber that also will not scratch and it all came off easily and quickly. Don't know why the haze appeared on the Lexus and not on the Matrix but I won't use it again!

I tried the Rain-X anti-fog once (anytime I have to have a windshield replaced I always get bad fogging on the inside)

Ironically enough, the windows fogged far worse AFTER applying the anti-fog product!
