  • Swirl X > Ultimate Polish > NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Sound good?

I have a Black 2011 Camry that I will be cleaning and waxing this weekend. I was going to use the Swirl X > Ultimate Polish > NXT Tech Wax 2.0 in that order. The paint is not in bad condition except for a lot of swirl marks from the bad clean job the dealership did. Is it ok to use the Ultimate Polish after the Swirl X? Any better products to use or different suggestions? Do I even need the Polish if I use the Swirl X?

I would say it's more like you probably don't need the SwirlX if you are going to use Ultimate Polish. There was some discussion of SwirlX and UP a while ago, and what I took away was that they are similar products in terms of abrasiveness and defect removal ability, but the UP has more polishing oils making it a generally better product all around.

My advice would be try the Ultimate Polish, and if that isn't reducing/eliminating the swirls to a level that you are happy with, then try Ultimate Compound.

Either UP > NXT, or UC > UP > NXT.

Yeah, if you need swirl/defect removal, you want UC.

Still hard and slow to do by hand though...
