  • First detail on my Colorado!

Finally got a chance to use my 7336 on my Colly. I used NXT wash, #80 Speed Glaze, NXT Tech Wax x2, and wiped it down with Speed Detailer. Took me a couple of sections to get the hang of #80, but I think I got it. I had some light scratches from washing, some heavier scratches. The #80 removed all of them. I'm happy.

    Looks good! Deep looking finish.

I am going to detail my truck sometime in the next week or two. I was going to pick up some #80 as well, I have never used it. Sounds like it worked well for you. Was the #80 easy to use once you got use to it? Any tips for its use?

K&N FIPK, Gibson exhaust, I'll probably lower it to.

          evh5150,

Was curious to what speed you had your 7336 set to for the 80 as well as the NXT. I have the G-100 which is really the 7335. Been using mine at 4.5 for #80 and 3.5 for NXT. My vehicle is 05 Focus ST in the Infra Red which I think shows slight imperfections about as much as black.

Looks good, I used 5 for the 80 and 3 for the NXT. I also used an ultimate bonnot at 2 to remove the NXT.

I know what you mean about having to get used to the 80. Took me a little while to see how much I could use. What I basically do is cut the hood into three sections. 2 sides and middle. I use a "star" of product for each. Usually go north/south East/west and then diagonal and then remove.

Man, like I told you before, that looks really good. I may have to take a road trip to KY and get you to do mine!! It would probably look like **** when I got it back to Oklahoma though.

It took a couple of sections to get an idea of how much to use. After I applied it the area, I made sure to work it in. I made east - west passes and the north - south passes. I worked it until it was just barely starting to haze. I removed it with a MF towel.

Post some pics afterward! We had good weather today so my truck stayed clean, I had a few people ask if I could do their cars to.
