this big rig trailer i have to polish is pretty oxidized, paint is pretty dull not at all bright. just wondering if big rigs have a cc or a ss paint. this rig is about 90's dont know the exact year yet the owner will bring it so i can put some pics see what i can use to restore it.

The answer to that question is that "it depends." Some may be single stage, some will have clearcoat. It's impossible to know without knowing the specifics of the truck.
In fact, many trucks have custom paint from the factory, so I am sure there is a lot of variability even with the same model and model year.
You can do a test spot with a compound or polish and see if you get pigment transfer to tell. -

thank you for helping mark. yeah that is what i will do, test the paint different areas see if color comes off.Comment
