  • What to use after 205

What cleaner polish is a step down from 205 if a finishing pad won't cut it. I haven't ran into a problem aside from an 06 Dodge Ram that was black. It had minor minor hologramming. To the untrained eye was a
flawless finish. The paint was just super soft.

Was done on my pc speed 5.

I however am highly impressed with what one pass of 105 did. Removed heavy heavy rotary damage.

I was skeptical at first but the 105/205 combo is amazing.

You were using the #205 with rotary as well?

Sorry, I'm not sure if I understood your question properly: you want something milder than M205 Ultra Finishing Polish ?
That would be Ultimate Polish (cleaner/ polish) or ColorX (cleaner/ wax). Neither product can be used with rotary buffers though.

If you look for something as the next step after M205 to further jewel the paint I think Ultimate Polish/ finishing pad won't disappoint.

True holograms will only come from a rotary, not a DA. Usually M205 via DA will eliminate any holograms that may have been created during a rotary compounding process; heck, most times M205 on a rotary with a finishing pad spinning at 1000rpm or slower will finish out hologram free. That said, you mentioned running M205 on your DA at speed 5. We'd give it another go on the DA but drop the speed to 3 and use light to moderate pressure and move the tool very slowly over the paint. That should take care of things very nicely.
