  • Need help...Which product to go first?

Hi,all the expert detailers in MOL forum...
I have below list of detailing products from Meguair's but now confusing which one to start first for my ride tomorrow...can anyone share your experience here.

I'll start to wash my ride using NXT 2.0 car wash follow by claying the entire body using Meguair's quik detailer with Soft99 claybar, after 1st & 2nd step and now i confuse which are below products to go first to complete the whole process.

    1) Ultimate Compound
    2) Ultimate Polish
    3) Swirl X
    4) Nxt Tech Wax 2.0
    5) Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant M21

I'll using ROB and hand to apply those products to my car.

You need to use the cleaner polish such as SwirlX or Ultimate Compound first to clean up your paint and remove surface defects. Meguiar's always advocates using the least aggressive method to get the job done. With that being said, you need to try SwirlX first because it's a less aggressive cleaner polish compared to ultimate compound. If this doesn't work then you need to step it up to ultimate compound.

After the cleaner polish step then you need to follow it up with a finishing polish such as ultimate polish in order to clear up some hazing the previous step might have left. It will also amplify the gloss and clarity of the paint with it's rich polishing oils.

After this step, just apply your favorite wax. M21 or NXT 2.0 will work but there's no need to use both. They are pretty much equivalent products.

Please make sure to do a "test spot" to see whether your process would work first. When you've dialed down your plan of attack then you can just duplicate that process throughout the entire car.

    Hope this helps.

Marc's right on. Use just the Polish if it gets your desired results, Swirl X if you need more cutting ability and Compound if you need even more. Sounds complicated, but after a bit of testing you'll be able to gauge what product will get the job done in any given area. UP everywhere will be your final surface prep, then finish with whichever of the waxes you choose. Two coats with an overnight cure in between is best for lasting results and you can do both with the same product, or one coat of each.
