It is possible the wax (or your technique) just doesnt mesh well with the car.

Sounds like you may be using too much product, the new ones require a very thin coat.

Also, you have done claying, cleaning steps before?

i put it on as thin as possible and claying makes no difference and that would not explain why it also happens on the ultimate quick wax spray

Have you washed your car after claying? Just a thought.

Its not so much 'making a difference', but having the best surface possible makes applying thigns easier.

I have used the UQW more than I have the UW, and i only get streaking with the UQW when it is applied to heavy in a spot. It is a pain to remove if thick.

I had that same problem with NXT. In my case I found that using fresh clean applicators and cloths that have no residue from other brands of wax or polish really helps. I now thoroughly clean my applicators and cloths after every use.

I have a 2012 Elantra in "Harbor Grey Metallic," and I've experienced the same issues with Ultimate Wax, but not with UQW. As I noted in the big UW thread, the application method recommended by Mike (very thin coats, work panel by panel, wipe off after 3-5 minutes) does yield better results than the traditional method applying sealant, but I still experienced some streaking. It's possible that I'm still using too much product - sounds like you may be, as well.

For the UQW, it helps to use a second MF for your final wipe - if you only use one towel, it tends to get saturated with product to the point that it can't remove any more residue.

Makes me wonder if there is some incompatibility between Hyundai paint and UW, though... I wish we had a formal database of vehicles and products that work well.
