I just bought meguiars m105 without the m205, does anyone know any more tips for swirl removal other than high speeds and small area ?

Re: any tips while using meguiars m105
To be honest you bought an aggressive chemical and to really polish out (level out) swirls on the clear a follow up with some sort of polishing compound is needed. Be it M205 or something else. M105 alone wont do the entire job IMO. Not sure what machine you using but with a heavy cut compound you do not need high speeds or any great amount of pressure.
Before you start I recommend getting a polishing agent and let us know what your working on and with what tools...

You could also try DA Microfiber Correction System.
D300 Correction Compound and D301 Finishing Wax are very user friendly with application/ wipe off being super easy. There's no dusting while M105 produces some.
D300/ microfiber cutting disc offer great cut and fast defect removal.

So you may need to spend time letting the m105 do it's job and when it comes to the polish step working it in longer will give that clear finish. Your going to spend more time on this step then the others. I worry about you working the higher cutting compounds in more....
