A couple of things come into play as far as the decision of applying by hand or machine. If you are using liquid, sometimes the PC is better in laying down a nice thin layer. It also has to do with preference, sometimes it is nice to lay down your LSP by hand and remove it by hand to see your work. 2 coats is sufficient in providing optimal protection. -
