  • Working With A Beige Car--Question

The car in my avatar is a '93 Camry...excellent shape...100kmi. one owner.

Just was painted, (this was not a cheap paint job, it cost me over $1000.00.

    So my question is this:

Is beige just one of those colors that it really doesn't matter which Maguiar's Wax you use?
For instance, I just waxed it using the Deep Crystal Wax and it worked fine. I needed to get a protective coat on it.
Is a car of this color going to look any better if I use the UW?

IMHO, you don't get a great paint job for $1,000 these days. That said, I own a beige metallic SUV and love M21 on it. Ultimate Wax also looks good on it. Those sealants that offer high reflectivity seem to look great on beige and silver metallics, IMO.

$1000 is certainly not expensive to paint a whole car, maybe it was for 2-3 panels.

From what I learned in this forum, synthetic wax is great for shine and protection. Then for dark colored cars, people here like to add a layer of carnauba wax to give it more depth.

For your beige car, I would suggest NXT, M21 or UW. If you wash and wax your car often, NXT or UW is suffice. Otherwise, use Cleaner Wax then M21.
