  • Bissell Little Green, is it worth owning?

    Hi all,
I am interested in purchasing a Bissell Little Green with the heater and power brush to do interiors with. Is it worth 100 bucks? I currently just use a bottle of carpet/fabric cleaner and use another spray bottle with hot water and a brush, then use my shop vac. It's kind of a pain but didn't know if the Little Green is effective enough.

I have only done my vehicles in the past wtih the occasional relatives vehicle, but I am going to be doing it as a side gig on weekends starting this spring for people I know or referals and wanted be make things a little more efficent. At this point, a "good" hot water extractor is not an option, so I was hoping to get some feedback on one of these green things.

    I appreciate any responses.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Here is a thread that discusses the Bissell machine:

    Hope this helps!

I find it to be a pretty good tool. IMO, I would opt to just purchase the non-heated version. They are usually $30-$40 cheaper. I just fill the tank with hot water prior to the task. One other thought, if you decide to get the LGCM be sure and do the interior/carpets first before detailing the exterior. It can leave the carpets fairly damp and takes some time to dry.

I have been using the Bissel Proheat upright on my vehicles, I does an okay job of cleaning and extracting, but does leave the surfaces quite damp. I also find that if you are using APC prior to using the bissel you will have foam galore and the machine will not extract very well. It's good for personal vehicles, but if you are dealing with high volume it isn't really viable.
