Re: what paint cleaner and polish
I like to look at these two processes. Both cover all the steps properly. The 'full' process would probably give a little better results, esp if just using the mild cleaners, but takes a little longer. Just pick which you feel like:
Quick:
1. Wash - Good soap, 2 buckets, quality towels, etc...
2. Clay - Smooth Surface Clay kit, or equivalent
3. ColorX
4. Wax - Ult. Wax, Nxt 2.0, or other favorite
Full:
1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Clean - For a mild cleaner, you could use SwirlX or Ult. Polish, or you would use Ult. Compound for a stronger cleaner.
4. Wax
5. Wax2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: what paint cleaner and polish
You can get real fancy with cleaners and polishes, but for a start I would recommend ColorX. It is a cleaner/polish/wax in one. I have a black car, and all I have done is clay, colorX, and for better results I top it with M16. You can't easily get M16 anymore so use NXT. ColorX is not harsh, does a real good job, and you can use it as often as you wish.
