    Hey detailthis,

IMO, there's a huge difference between the 2. I have used DACP several times and it has never let me down, Color X I have yet to try out thus far. So with my knowledge here goes

DACP I use this almost excluselvy on every detail job. Though some cars don't need but most do. It utilizes just the right amount of cutting power mated with diminishing abrasives to create a polishing acting and leaving a wax free, smooth high gloss shine. DACP when used with a PC, you may get a slight haze on the finish, this is normal for being used with a PC. Follow up with #82 or #9 to remove the haze and then top with a wax. Stand back watch her glow! Now DACP I've seen and heard that it really shows it stuff when used with a rotary. Haze free, really brings up the gloss and get in there and take a bite of the swirls! Again follow up with #82 and a rotary and your finish will be just gorgeous! I would love to have a rotary right now, but that's beside the point. Bottom line, DACP IMO is one the more versatile Meguiars polishes out there. I will continue to use without fear if need be.

Color X Mike Phillips used this to detail an 86 Bronco II. He simply washed, clayed and Color X. It really brought the finish back on the bronco. I see Color X as more of a cleaner wax and yet provides protection. How long it lasts, I do not know since I have not tried it out. Color X since it has some cleaning power it will remove swirls but DACP has more of a bite to it, much more so than just your average cleaner wax.

This is what I know between the 2, hope this straightens things up a bit for you,,,,,deadman98
