  • Road paint in the wheel wells

One of the firefighters I work with asked me to look at his wife's Chrysler 300C.

Sometime in the last week she ran over some white road paint. It is mostly in the wheel wells, with a few spots of it on the body . It is also as hard as the proverbial rock. The car is a dark blue metallic.

I am looking for suggestions as to removing the road paint.

    Thanks in advance!

I'm NOT recommending this as I just bought it for a similar situation with yellow traffic marking paint. Except the yellow filled the wheel wells and dotted three foot high up the sides of the car.

I'm not recommending it and I'm not sure when I will try it and I hope someone here will recommend something else for you. Just a point of reference I guess. Please thoroughly read this pdf if you decide to proceed.

    Good luck.

I would try and dislodge it or loosen it up with a pressure washer ( on the wheel wells).

Then maybe use some Stoner's Tarminator or Meguiars Body Solvent and let it sit.

You also might have to scrape the wells clean with a razor blade.

I took care of this on my own a few weeks ago with my big steam cleaner pressure washer. I cranked the diesel burner up as hot as it would go and turned up pressure up as high as it would go and it got my wheel wells and plastic clean. I was a little funny feeling about it but it went good.
