    Welcome to Meguiar's Online, Bill.

These things will increase your success against swirls:

    - speed 5 on your D/A polisher for swirl removal,
    - slow arm speed, move your polisher really slowly over the paint,
    - clean your buffing pad frequently to insure its cutting ability,
    - work on small area, like 20" x 20",
    - use enough product but don't overuse it, always have a small amount film of product on your surface,
    - use decent down pressure on your polisher but don't stop pad from rotating.

      What are you working on?

Can you tell if they are the same swirls, or are you moving around fine swirls?

You asked if you should change speed but you haven't told us what speed you're using currently. Also, how large an area are you working at a time?
