Karcher 1400psi washer

Is 1400 psi safe to use on a vehicle on a regular basis? I am afraid it will remove the ultimate wax I use on my truck.

It is a karcher k 2.40

Try not to use it too close and you should be okay.

does using a pressure washer each time you wash (I wash every other week) cause the wax protection to diminish faster?

If I had to say yes or no, I would say most likely yes.

A plain garden hose with free flowing water will be a lot more gentle.

But I like my pressure washer for tires, wheel wells, floor mats, etc.

I personally would not use a pressure washer anywhere on my vehicle. Perhaps if it was an off road vehicle, caked in mud, then yes, but only then on the wheels and wheel wells. Used incorrectly, a pressure washer can do some damage...remember it is a pressure wesher. I use mine to strip paint off decks, and horse manure out of my trailers...but never on my beautiful auto paint.
