Rubbing Compound

Someone gave me half a bottle of Meguiares Rubbing Compound. What do I use with this product? I have SwirlX for small scratches.

My car is well maintained. It has swirls but they don't show because the car is silver.

Rubbing compound main focus is "deep" paint scratch removal......
Lets hope you wont need it!!!!!

So, this is kind of the same usage as SwirlX but more aggressive. I just apply the product and rub by hand?

Is this clear-coat safe?

Here is a little information for you:

The Clear Coat Safe Rubbing Compound is roughly equal to Ultimate Compound in cutting ability, while the Polishing Compound is in between SwirlX and ScratchX 2.0 - that's a pretty fine distinction though!

Remember, too, that this pair of products is designed for hand use only. A lot of you like to experiment with products using application methods other than the recommended, but in this case, trust us, you want to stick to hand application only.
